Getting started with StoreMaster Free

StoreMaster replaces a shelf of single-purpose WooCommerce plugins with one install, one update and one control centre. It needs WooCommerce 9.0 or newer, WordPress 6.6 or newer, and PHP 8.1 or newer.

1. Install and activate

Install from the WordPress plugin directory, or upload the ZIP. Activation does three things and no more: it creates StoreMaster’s database tables, gives administrators its capabilities, and adds the StoreMaster menu.

It does not turn anything on. Immediately after activation your storefront behaves exactly as it did before, because no module is enabled.

2. Choose what you actually need

Open StoreMaster → Modules. Each card tells you three things before you decide:

• what the module does, in one sentence about the outcome, not the settings;
• its storefront footprint — what it adds to a page request, including whether it loads a script;
• what depends on it, so turning it off later is never a surprise.

Turn on one module. The control centre shows you the exact list of affected behaviours and asks you to confirm before anything changes.

3. Configure it

Every module keeps its settings on its own screen under the StoreMaster menu, and product-level overrides live in the native WooCommerce product editor where you would expect them.

Where a value can be inherited — a quantity minimum, say — the field tells you what it currently inherits, so an empty box never leaves you guessing whether it means "zero" or "use the category setting".

4. Check it is healthy

StoreMaster → Diagnostics runs health checks over the database, background jobs, the checkout field API and document numbering, and scans for other active plugins that overlap what you have enabled. A warning there is worth reading before a customer finds it.

5. Take a copy

StoreMaster → Import / export produces a signed copy of your rules, settings and module state. It contains no licence key, no password and no customer data. Keep one before you make a large change; it is the fastest way back.

What StoreMaster will not do

It does not process payments, calculate shipping rates or tax, manage a warehouse, or replace your theme. Those are WooCommerce’s jobs or someone else’s, and a toolkit that pretended otherwise would be a worse toolkit.
