Opening hours Pro

Some stores only trade at certain times: a kitchen, a counter, a delivery round. Opening hours let you say so, and stop taking orders you cannot fulfil.

The week, and the exceptions

Set up to four sessions a day, so lunch and dinner are two entries rather than one long one that claims you are open all afternoon.

Sessions may cross midnight. "18:00–02:00" is an ordinary Friday for a restaurant, and it is handled as one session that ends in the small hours — not as a store that shuts at midnight.

On top of the weekly pattern, add exceptions by date: a bank holiday closure, or special hours for one day. An exception replaces that day’s hours entirely.

Three modes

Closed — while you are shut, products cannot be bought. The refusal is enforced on purchasability, on add-to-cart and again at checkout, so it holds for the Store API and a block checkout as well as the ordinary product page. The message is yours, and StoreMaster adds when you open again.

Pre-order — orders keep coming while you are shut, and every promise the customer sees moves to the next service. The product’s own lead time is kept and the service window is added to it, so "Ships in 2 days" becomes "Ships in 2 days. Ordered now, prepared from Monday 09:00." The order records which service it was placed for, and editing your hours next week does not rewrite what that customer was told.

Information only — nothing is blocked. The status is shown and that is all.

What the customer sees

Daylight saving

Everything is calculated in your store’s own timezone using real dates, not an offset from UTC. On the morning the clocks go forward, a store that opens at nine opens at nine. A session running through the hour that repeats in autumn closes at its local closing time rather than an hour out.

Diagnostics will warn you if your site is set to a fixed UTC offset rather than a city, because a fixed offset has no daylight saving to follow — and twice a year your hours would be wrong.

An empty schedule does not close your shop

If no hours are set at all, the store is treated as open and nothing is blocked. A module that closed a shop the moment it was switched on would be indistinguishable from a bug — so it says nothing until you have told it something.
